System Overview

High-speed, reliable, and open, the DCS system has more than 6,000 installations worldwide in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, power, cement, metallurgy.

JX-300XP is a distributed control system with sophisticated technology and stable performance, and has a wide application in process industries, such as chemical, petrochemical, metallurgy, and building materials. It is the most widely used distributed control system in China.

With the features of total integration and easy-to-use configuration, JX-300XP employs state-of-art high-speed network technology, microelectronic technology, latest signal conditioning technology, a reliable software and hardware platform, software design technology and fieldbus technology. A high performance microprocessor and advanced control algorithms have been adopted to improve system performance. Thereby, it can meet application requirements of every process industry.

As an open distributed control system with the features of full digitalization, flexible architecture and excellent performance, JX-300XP can be easily integrated with diverse fieldbus equipments and third part devices.

System Architecture

WebField JX-300XP system consists of engineer station, operator station, control station, process control network, operation network and etc.

Engineer station is specially designed for professional engineering technicians, including corresponding configuration platform and system maintenance tools and so on.

Operator station is a human-machine interface designed for operators.
Control station is the I/O conditioning unit that realizes data acquisition and devices control.

Engineer station, operator station and control station are connected to transmit information, control and other commands by process control network. The redundant communication modules and media are robust for transmitting the information.













Network Structure

WebField JX-300XP adopts three layers network structure:

The first layer is Ethernet viz. Information Management Network (Optional)

Ethernet is adopted to transmit and manage plant-level information. It is the information channel for realizing the integrated management of the whole plant.

The second layer is SCnetII viz. Process Control Network

It directly connects with control stations, operator stations, engineer stations, communication interface units and etc, and is the channel for transmitting real-time information.

The third layer is SBUS viz. the Internal I/O Control Bus of Control Station

It is the I/O control bus on control station. The information on master controller module, data transmission module and I/O modules are exchanged through SBUS.

Network Structure

The maximal system configuration includes 15 pairs of redundant control stations and 32 operator stations or engineer stations and 15,360 hardwired tags.

Maximum 8 I/O racks can be configured in one control station and 20 modules can be installed in one rack, i.e., maximum 16 I/O modules can be housed in the rack besides one pair of mutual redundant controllers and one pair of data transmission modules.

In each rack, I/O modules can be configured as redundancy or non-redundancy.












The controller is the core of control station, in charge of regulating all relations of hardware and software on control station and all kinds of control tasks, such as I/O signal conditioning, calculation control, communication control and handling between upper and lower layers network and redundant diagnosis.

The controller adopts double-CPU structure, i.e. primary CPU (running) and secondary CPU (Backup), and supports redundant and non-redundant configuration. Its redundant mode is 1:1 hot standby.

The number of control loops can be up to 128. It supports 128 I/O modules at most and realizes local or remote I/O control function through SBUS.

Internal backup LI-battery is used to protect SRAM data (including system configuration, control parameter, running status and etc.) on the controller after powered off to improve the safety and maintenance of system. When system is power off, SRAM data can be kept up to 3 months.

System Software

Both WebField JX-300XP and ECS-100 system adopt AdvanTrol-Pro with rich functions, friendly human machine interface, and easy-to-use program and configuration software, in the meanwhile, some improvements and upgrades have also been developed according to the features of JX-300XP system to form the more powerful and practical AdvanTrol-Pro (For JX-300XP) software package.
